Former NBA-player, Lamar Odom was found unconscious Tuesday (10/14) at the Love Ranch in Crystal, where he had paid $75,000 for a four-day stay.
The Love Ranch said Odom told at least one of the women when he arrived on Saturday that he had used cocaine earlier in the day. And he bought 10 sexual stimulants, or “herbal Viagra,” during his stay, according to a brothel spokesman.
While Lamar Odom's condition has been improving he still remains in ICU after waking up from his four-day coma on Friday (10/16), sources reported.
Multiple reports on Saturday indicated that Odom, for the first time, could socialize and move. Odom was "conversational" on Saturday and was able to text and speak sentences, according to reports from ESPN and the Los Angeles Times.
Most of his communication, however, comes through a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down, according to E! News.
Able to breathe on his own, Odom's bedridden 6-foot-10 frame was vertical once more as he was helped out of bed and onto a chair, E! News reported on Sunday. With his breathing tube removed, E! reported, Odom passed a swallow test -- another hurdle overcome as doctors gauge if he has suffered any brain damage.
TMZ, who was first to break the story, has now confirmed that Lamar should pull through with struggling road to recovery none-the-less. Lamar Odom will survive his near death experience but it will be a long, hard road, doctors say ... and we've learned Khloe will be with him the entire way.
Doctors are telling Lamar's friends and family rehabilitation will take many months, and they believe an undetermined amount of damage to his body will be permanent.
We're told Lamar will have physical, speech, and other therapists working with him for the foreseeable future.
I've been holding off with this story and decided to give this story enough time to develop before I cast my opinion. I wasn't a fan of his life being minimized to just being one of the unlucky guys to have married a Kardashian. Nor did I feel compelled to act as though Lamar's drug use hasn't been the topic of KUWTK's episodes over the years.
Undoubtedly, I believe that Khloe did/does care deeply for Lamar but media has made his tragedy their triumph in all efforts to keep their names in the fold of things.
How ironic that all of sudden Khloe and Lamar aren't officially divorced when several sites reported the demise of their marriage (with help from Kardashian Team) ? I pray Lamar continues to pull through and can finally speak his peace. Oh, and where's Rob?
