DC 'Catfish Reality Show' Star Pleads Guilty in Metro Threats

The Catfish Reality Show Star has pleaded guilty in federal court to calling in threats against Metro stations, buses and trains in the nation's capital.

Jerez Nehemiah Coleman pleaded guilty Friday to making threats involving explosive materials. Coleman, who is to be sentenced Feb. 26, faces up to 10 years in prison, but the plea, which is subject to court approval, calls for up to 27 months sources has reported.

Back in May, I reported that he phoned in false bomb and hostage threats approximately 11 times. Each incident resulted in an emergency response and some led to disruptions in transit service.

Police used cell phone records, video surveillance and telephone audio to identify the suspect. In return for his guilty plea, the other charges will be dismissed.

According to a statement he signed, Coleman placed more than 300 calls to 911 from December 2014 to May 2015.

Coleman, also known as Jerez Nehemiah Stone-Coleman and "Kidd Cole," was once exposed on MTV's "Catfish" reality show about online scams.
