Let's Keep it Brief: ForeverMeah Top of Blogs Recap

Is it me or is the weather slightly depressing? I hate walking my dog early in the morning and it looks as though its 2am instead of 6am. I can't make a decent cup of coffee in the morning. Although my hair is loc'd none of my styles are staying or are comfortable, I can't find anything to wear in the morning yet I am expected to be cordial for 8-hours a day...ugh... (clearly) I haven't been in much of a blogging mood lately. (my bad) 

Unlike most sites (thou shall remain nameless) I haven't found anything really worth blogging about. 

I can care least about Amber Rose's Slut-Walk and gimmicks. What I thought was possibly a decent idea she has manage to Slutty-up a Slut-Walk. How is that even possible?

Rihanna's dating Travis Scott? umm, ok. Whatever floats her boat. I don't even know who Travis Scott is but since he's not on my radar I ain't mad cause he's on +Rihanna's.

Sanaa and French Montana? *side-eye* Another case of the I.D.K. Something about French just rubs me the wrong way. It's like he has CLOWN written across his face whenever I see him. Nothing - I mean Nothing - is attractive about this guy. He reminds me of a Mall Jeweler or a car salesman. Sanaa is a decent woman but it's a known fact she primarily dated white men - I guess French is a happy medium. To each their own.

Bow Wow and Erica Mena? Next.  I didn't bother to follow this story. I'm guessing she was pregnant or something. Lost the baby. Made a post. Bow Wow on the other hand seems as though he -like most - of the world could give zero f#Cks. 

T.I. Backtracks On Iggy Azalea Comments? Yup, heavy is the crown of a sinking man. Last week I posted how T.I decided to kick his slave master's daughter to the curb, he has quickly backtracked his story and Iggy predicted. *side-eye* I'm over it.

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill gets 'sexy' in sneak peek for GQ Magazine photo shoot? There's nothing sexy about these 2 as a couple. I can not jump on the bandwagon for their love. It feels staged and lack of ingenuity. You can watch the sneak peek here.

Another One Bites the Dust: Bow Wow Leaves Cash Money

As I stated when I posted: Is Nothing is Promised at YMCMB?

First Busta Rhymes, then Mystikal, and now...

Shad "Bow Wow" Moss just announced he is leaving Cash Money Records, after only five years signed to the label. He posted the video below to his Facebook, and he was quick to clarify: "This is a peaceful situation."

Making it very clear that there is no bad blood (no pun intended) towards  Cash Money, or Birdman,  he even went as far as to thank them for signing him in the first place.
"I wanna dictate when my music comes out. I'm tired of going to the studio to make records and then I listen to them. 'Cuz they get old... I just can't be held up by nobody. It's as simple as that."

He also was clear to announce that his rap career is far from over and that he is working with Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri. "Now that I have both of them in cahoots with each other, this is only gonna make my new situation even more monumental."

106 and Park Cancelled after 14 years on-Air!

106 and Park has officially been canceled. The show, which started in September of 2000, by A.J. Calloway and Marie “Free” Wright, has come to an end after 14 successful seasons.


106 and Park was a hip hop and R&B-based video count down, in the same vein as MTV’s TRL. Throughout the series it has switched hosts various times. Back in 2013 former rapper Bow Wow signed on with Keshia Chante to host the show.

Now that 106 and Park has been canceled, it’s believed that its final episode will run on December 19, 2014. Fans of the show can still count on catching it after that but it will only be available in an online platform.

After 14 yrs as America’s #1 music show on @BET, #106andPark is blazing a new trail as a digital brand and will exit as a daily TV show.

Shad Moss Engagement to Erica Mena Isn't a Publicity Stunt

I thought this story was fabricated however, despite what it may appear, Shad Moss (formerly known as lil Bow Wow) wants you to know that his love for VH1's Erica Mena is real. 

Shad claims that he been knowing Erica since 2006, and when they connected again this time around, the bond was undeniable so he decided to lock it down:

On why he proposed:I think what a lot of people don’t realize is me and Erica, we been knowing each other for years. If you pay attention, she’s in my “Fresh Azimiz” video. She’s the girl right in front of me. I been knowing her since then. And like I said, she was suppose to do [the movie] Lottery Ticket. So it was just…I don’t know. The Scorpio-Pisces connect thing and it just happened. Anytime, you meet somebody like that and the bond is right…you gotta go ahead and make it do what it do! 

On publicity rumors:But it’s far from a publicity stunt. I’ve never been the type of person to do anything for publicity. I don’t need it. I’m on TV everyday. How much more publicity do I need? I did this out of my heart, I did this out of love.It’s time for me to sit my ass down! I’m out the game!  

On how he proposed:Um, y’all gotta wait for that. I’m not gonna let that one out of the bag, y’all gotta wait for that. I know it’s what our fans want to know but they’ll get that in due time.I know a lot of people doubting and hating. Got their timers up. This ain’t your regular, typical thing that’s going on. This real. This gon be around for a long time.  

On setting a date:It don’t take long to do nothing. That’s what a wise man told me. It don’t take long to do nothing. It ain’t gon take no two, three, four, five years. We gon move at godspeed. We been moving at godspeed for this long and we’re going to continue to do that. (source)
