Mendeecees the Rapper? Drops New Sneakers!

As most of us know, LHHNY's Mendeecees Harris is now serving his prison time but he wasn't lying when he said he was working on a few things to keep the income coming in while he is doing his bid. In the Love & Hip Hop episode you recall Mendeecees in the studio with rapper, Cam'ron discussing his new desire to get in the studio and spit a few bars.


Did you wonder who he was speaking of? or Who was calling him a "snitch"? 

Well that's simple - He was talking to none other than Mr. Jim Jones himself. Jimmy was not here for Mendeecees rap career so he posted on Instagram,

With the help of his brother, the father of four introduced his new shoe line on Instagram this week, encouraging all fans to purchase.

“‘After months of planning and working finally my sneakers are ready for purchase!" I'm not here but my sneakers are! My team is ready and filling orders. Go to Msportivo.com’” he wrote.

Mendeecees' Open Letter Before Turning Himself Into Prison

Mendeecees Harris (Husband of +VH1's Love & Hip Hop's Yandy Smith Harris) wrote a heart-felt post via his Instagram hours before turning himself into a Pennsylvania Penitentiary on Tuesday, January 19th to begin serving his 8-year bid for drug trafficking.

Mendeecees wrote:

“I know for some of you it feels like we’ve been here before, it’s the never ending story or some of you are probably so sick of hearing about me and this case that you completely tapped out and just don’t give a F#%k anymore, maybe never did (For you, stop reading now and please unfollow Asap). This message is for all those that have supported me, grew with me, changed hearts, minds and perspectives with me. When I was young, hungry and closed minded I acted as such. Now I’m wiser but it’s wisdom born through pain, so that means enduring this will just make me wiser and stronger. But who would have thought “Young DeeCee” that wore the ripped up worn shoes, that went to school on sugar sandwiches and borrowed rice would ever have a voice to speak to the masses. I was the one with nothing, no push to go to school, no dinner on the table at night, no kiss goodbye in the morning, all I had was me for awhile. Just Me, plane ole me ( I don’t have college degrees, a huge resume of internships and jobs) would be able to influence a generation. Who would have thought that my family would be a beacon of hope and love through out a community that’s so often taught family dysfunction, dissension and disloyalty. Men, step up! I’ve been there, where you are and I’ve learned in the end It truly is FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING! Fathers, go raise men! Men to lead their family. Men to do the right thing. No matter what you had to do or may still be doing raise them babies right! Also, when you raise a man you teach an individual but when you raise a woman you build a nation. Protect our nation builders fellas! I could go on for days but I want y’all to know I’m good [broken-heart emoji] but good. My family is strong, real strong, so their good. Mendeecees Harris Sentenced To 8 Years in Prison

After a few years of legal woes  Mendeecees Harris was sentenced today (12/2) on drug trafficking charges. Harris received a 97-month sentence (that’s 8 years) when he appeared in a Rochester, NY courts, VH1 reported. 

Following the sentence Harris’ attorney Donald Thompson told Billboard, 

“The possibility of a jail sentence has been well known in the community, and he's talked about that with kids who are coming up in difficult situations and have to make life choices, whether it's a good idea to make a whole lot of money selling drugs or make less money and not have to be looking over your shoulder."

For his part, Harris took full responsibility for his actions with a thoughful message to his fans shared via Instagram:

I want you all to understand something. I completely accept responsibility for all that is going on. My transition to be a better person a productive person started well before this case. However in my past I made some bad decisions. Young men let my life be an example to you now before it's too late. Better who you are now in your children's lives and in society so you can change the path of your fate. Lack of opportunities, a fatherless home, the unforgiven neighborhood and circumstances you grew up in can no longer be your excuse. Trust me I tried. And it doesn't make the pain your family feels any different. Young man educate your self and break the cycle. Don't become a number on the DOA (dead on arrival) list or on the incarceration list. To my wife and children you are all strong and well prepared for this. This is just another brick laid down towards our house of happily ever after , walk with your head held high knowing I would never past the buck and put another family through what we have endured. Continue to walk in faith and love as you've done so well. To my peoples thank you for all the encouragement and support please continue to encourage my family. Thank you again all.

Is Yandy Throwing Shade at Chrissy and Jim Jones?

What's beef? If you remember on the original Love and Hip-Hop New York we finally got to meet Jim Jones long-term girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkins. And seeing Kimbella appear on the most recent season you can't help but wonder what happened to Yandy's relationship with Jim? We all remember when Chrissy dragged the alleged 'pit-bull' in the hotel room for talking reckless about her "friend" Emily and the messiness with Fabolous. Since it wasn't a followup season it left viewers to assume everything went back to normal. 

We all know Yandy has mastered the ability to causally shade someone in the rain but check out this behind-the-scene interview about Vamp Life and not hearing any music from Jim Jones.

Mendeecees Harris Pleas Guilty to Narcotics Conspiracy Charge

Love & Hip Hop star Mendeecees Harris, 36, pleaded guilty to narcotics conspiracy in front of U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. It took nearly an hour for Harris to answer all of the questions related to what Geraci called "a rather complicated agreement."

During the appearance, Harris admitted he was involved in a drug trafficking operation that between 2005 and 2012 shipped cocaine and heroin to the Rochester region.

Under an agreement with federal prosecutors, Harris also turns over money from his television show and paid appearances. He's paid after every episode airs. That money, which the federal government will keep, has totaled more than $103,000, said his attorney Donald Thompson.

Harris, who is free on a $600,000 bail package, will face a sentence of 8 to 10 years in federal prison and/or a fine ranging from $15,000 to $5 million. He will also face four or five years of supervised release, Thompson said.

Harris' co-defendants Ronald Walker, and Mendeecees Harris' brother Tyrus Harris, previously pleaded guilty to their roles in the case. Walker is serving 10 years in federal prison.

Geraci agreed to allow Mendeecees Harris to remain free on bail until his sentencing, which is scheduled for Aug. 31 at 3 p.m.

Harris and his fiancée, hip-hop producer Yandy Smith, will be getting married on live television next month on Love & Hip Hop Live: The Wedding. In February, Smith gave birth to the couple's second child.

Once the case is resolved, the bail package will be returned to those who put up money and property for Harris' release. (source)
