In Celebrity News Say what? SportsTalk Steve Francis

Steve Francis Ain't Sick - He's Just Old

I ain't going to lie - over the past year or two I have seen some rather disturbing pictures of my crush, former NBA player Steven D'Shawn "Steve" Francis. I am guilty of re-tweeting some dis-favorable pics and instigating the rumor that Steve is either on drugs or battling a sickness.

Well TMZ Sports spoke to Francis about the health rumors that reignited last weekend after he showed up at the Lakers-Rockets game looking… kinda different.

But Steve said all that drug talk is “so far from the truth. That’s why I don’t worry about social media.”

He added he’s purely focused on his family, and his community in Houston.

“I’m trying to be a positive influence on people.”

As for his appearance at the game, a source close to Steve told us there’s no health issue, He’s just old.”

*sigh of relief*

ForeverMeah says...Let Steve be GREAT like A.I.

In DCWhatup Kanye West Say what? SportsTalk Wale

#WhatUpDC: Wale & Kanye West May Redesign Washington Wizards Uniforms?

As you may know by now Wale has been hired as a cultural consultant for the Wizards and in an issue of ESPN the Magazine, he says he's working with Kanye West on redesigning the Wizards' uniforms.
"I want to be a shot in the arm to DC basketball. My job is to provide a spark, at all costs. I'm not going to do anything corny, but I'm talking to Kanye about designing new uniforms. I want to see the phone booth rocking every time I come here. I want to create the "Lake Show," create what the Bulls had. I want to take the personality of our stars -- John, Otto, Marcin -- and create what Kemp and Payton had, what LeBron and D-Wade had. That's the vibe I want."

In Dallas Cowboys JayZ Jerry Jones NY Giants Say what? SportsTalk whatsBeef?

What Beef? Jerry Jones Reveals His Conversation With Jay Z

Jay Z was spotted talking to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and left many wondered what kind of conversation they had because as we know Jerry wasn't too thrilled with Dez Bryant signing to Hov’s Roc Nation’s Sports.

I'm still wonder which team Jay was cheering for since he has clients on both sides (Victor Cruz & Dez Bryant)?!

Jones was asked if he got anything worked out with Jay-Z before the game. Instead of addressing Bryant’s contract, Jones’ answer had to do with Jay-Z as possible halftime entertainment.
“Yeah, I was working on a halftime deal with him for Thanksgiving,” Jones said, winking. “No it’s good. He had just been to the stadium and entertained there. He’s outstanding.”

In Celebrity News RGIII SportsTalk Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins Unlikely To Extend RGIII Contract

I get alot of slack from my DC Natives because I am not and never have been a Washington Redskins fan. After the selection of the accident-prone QB Robert Griffin III true fans diminished and just as I thought the Redskins are ready to cut their ties to the once GREAT HOPE. LOL

According to John Keim of ESPN.com, it doesn’t look like the Redskins will be extending Griffin’s contract this year.
Griffin has been extremely injury prone this season, and has been unable to get back to his rookie season form. He was an absolute beast in his first year, and actually led Washington to the playoffs. Since then, he has been extremely inconsistent when he has been on the field and more than often he has been sitting on the sidelines due to injuries.
Washington tried to give Kirk Cousins a chance when Griffin went out with injury this year, but he was unable to take advantage of that chance. Third-string quarterback Colt McCoy on the other hand did take advantage of the opportunity, and perhaps he should get more playing time at the end of the year assuming the Redskins get eliminated earlier once again.
It’s going to be intriguing to see what ends up happening with this situation, especially with all of the news coming out. The Redskins definitely aren’t sold anymore that Griffin is their long-term guy, but he still has so much potential if he can figure everything out. Griffin has been very adamant about his belief that he is the Redskins’ guy, and that he will lead the team forward.
That being said, he will have to prove his worth over the next few weeks if he wants to hold onto that starting job throughout the off-season. He will likely be the starter for another year at least, but McCoy might have a chance to have a competition with Griffin assuming he’s back with the team in preseason action. Either way, the Redskins’ patience is wearing thin with Griffin. (source)
