Bill Cosby Charged in Sexual Assault Case

Bill Cosby, 78 was charged today (12/30) with criminal sexual assault —  in a 10 year old case — by prosecutors in a Philadelphia and was finished and out again within 10 minutes. 

Appearing in good spirits yet fragile, +BillCosby was helped in and out of the courthouse by two people. His lawyers have said recently he has severe eye problems and is nearly blind. He seemed to have trouble seeing the paperwork and his lawyers helped him hold a pen. But he laughed and chatted with his attorneys.

When the judge said, “Mr. Cosby, good luck to you, sir," he shouted: "Thank you!"

Cosby pleaded not guilty, posted $1 million bail (putting down 10% as called for under Pennsylvania law), and turned over his passport as a condition for being released on bail. 

He went next to the Cheltenham Police Department for booking and a mug shot, promptly released by the police.

Geesh: 35 Bill Cosby Accusers Pose for ‘New York’ Magazine Cover

Thirty-five of his accusers appear on the cover of New York magazine. The New York magazine cover story includes details about the accusers’ assaults from alleged drugging, rape and molestation. 

They range in age from their early 20s to 80 — one says she was one of Cosby’s best friends — until she woke up naked after he plied her with medicine for a “headache;” another says Cosby put his forearm under her throat after she revealed to hotel staff she was 19 and staying with the superstar; another says his actions derailed her life; and yet another tells the publication she couldn’t form words as “America’s dad” leered at her and her unconscious friend with “a very predatory look on his face.”

They range in careers from waitresses, actresses and Playboy bunnies to journalists and writers.

Bill Cosby Finally Speaks Out!

Since more than 30 women have came forward in the past six months accusing Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them he has remained silent - until now (sorta).  

Bill Cosby is dodged around to questions about allegations of sexual assault for the first time in an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Linsey Davis. 

“I think that many of them may say, ‘Well, you are a hypocrite. You say one thing, you say another,’” he told Davis. “My point is, 'OK, listen to me carefully. I’m telling you where the road is out. I’m telling you where, as you drive, you are going to go into the water. Now, you want to go here or you want to be concerned about who is giving you the message?'”

“It’s interesting. When I talk to people they will say, ‘This is a situation that’s unprecedented.’ I, my family, my friends, I have been in this business 52 years," he said. "I’ve never seen anything like this. And reality is the situation. And I can’t speak.”
