MTV's show White People Documentary?

What does it mean to be white?

MTV’s ‘White People’ is a groundbreaking documentary on race that aims to answer that question from the viewpoint of young white people living in America today.

The film follows Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and filmmaker, Jose Antonio Vargas, as he travels across the country to get this complicated conversation started.
‘White People’ asks what’s fair when it comes to affirmative action, if colorblindness is a good thing, what privilege really means, and what it’s like to become the “white minority” in your neighborhood.

For more information on ‘White People,’ and to join the conversation, head to race.lookdifferent.org.

Okay so after so watching the documentary white people and its not as bad as i thought. This first episode introduced us to a girl named Katy, who claims that because she’s white she is at a disadvantage of receiving scholarships because she’s white *side-eye*.

So the filmmaker Jose gets facts that show that white people are 40% more likely to get scholarships than marginalized groups and when Jose threw them facts at her, she starts to revert back, and is now trying to play the victim. Let me know your thoughts...

In MTV Nicki Minaj Taylor Swift TweetsisWatching

#TweetsIzWatchin: @NickiMinaj vs. MTV vs. Taylor Swift

Well, by now you know shit things got real on Twitter last night between Pop/Rapper Nicki Minaj and Bubblegum songstress Taylor Swift. Nicki couldn't however shake it off and blasted MTV's VMAs snub. Here's how it all went down:

Yesterday (7/21), the 2015 VMA nominations were announced, with Swift earning a total of nine nods (five in the professional categories), including video of the year for "Bad Blood."

Minaj was also nominated for multiple awards, including best female video and best hip-hop video for "Anaconda," but felt slighted by her lack of a video of the year nomination.

Nicki took to twitter to vent her bias views of the nomination selection and posted:

Nicki must have felt some kind of way about Taylor trying to defend MTV's decision and point out to her that its not only slim bodies being nominated for video of the year. In fact, those nominated along with Taylor is Nicki's BFF Beyonce, and Kendrick Lamar.

With a quick attempt to buff-over the situation Taylor soon responded:

Nicki on the other hand refused to shake it off and was glad her Barbs could now see how stuff works. She quickly tied the applause Taylor Swift received for removing her music from Spotify and being dragged when they launched Tidal.

Soon after Twitter backed-down and Nicki cohered her fans to see things her way:

Taylor on the other hand has deleted all her tweets. Nicki continues...

Nicki then threatens to pull a Kanye West on stage an accept her award even though she wasn't nominated:

Meek Mill also reached out to his boo via social media and tweeted:

Welp... for the most part that's it. So what do you think is Nicki doing too much? Was Taylor wrong for speaking out?

In Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham Celeb Drama Chris Brown Interview MTV

Chris Brown Addresses Relationship with Drake

Chris Brown’s sat down with Sway of MTV News on Thursday (September 11), and opened up about his relationship with Drake and how their EPSY skit came about.

MTV reported,
“[Drake's] camp actually called me to do the skit. Especially after getting out of jail, I didn’t have any animosity towards anybody,” he said.
“I wanted to be able to bring light to the situation and just grow up. I’m 25 and I’m not getting younger. You can’t walk around holding grudges, looking over your shoulder and being negative all the time. I’m tired of being looked at as the aggressor, so I just wanted to show my maturity.”
Breezy explained that he and Drake didn’t have a very formal conversation to patch things up — and, no, Rihanna didn’t come up. They simply acknowledged that it was time to leave their differences in the past.
“We’re young, so it’s not like [we had] a pow wow over tea or nothing,” he told MTV News’ Sway Calloway. It didn’t need to be explained. It wasn’t no problem.”
Unfortunately, Breezy’s album X was already completed, and wasn’t able to get Drake on the album, however, the two are still trying to make music together.
“Working on music is something we’re gonna continuously try to do and make happen,” he revealed. “I know it’ll be a big thing for the fans if they hear a song –- but it has to be the right song, for both of us, at the end of the day.”
