Big Sean Gives Back to Detroit Through His Foundation

Big Sean is more than just a rapper, he recently launched the Sean Anderson Foundation in his hometown with a mission he reflected in his Grammy-nominated track "One Man Can Change the World." The song paid homage to his deceased grandmother and depicted his philanthropic mantra.
"I had to rap about her because she was the one who inspired me. She was the one who showed me one man -- man meaning human being, male or female -- could change the world. You know, to make a difference," Big Sean says.
Big Sean's mission for his foundation is simple: to improve the lives of young people.
"Whenever I think of Detroit or my city or the kids in Detroit, the youth of Detroit, I just think of myself,"
The rapper goes on to say,
"It's just so easy to get caught up in the wrong things when you're young," he said. "Having somebody that you could look up to, whether it's a family member, whether it's a mentor, whether it's your favorite rapper, you know, whatever it is, I see the importance of showing people their inner potential."
One way Big Sean is doing it is by cultivating young talent. In a partnership with Adidas, he installed a state-of-the-art recording studio at his alma mater, Cass Technical High School in Detroit.
"What's funny is I used to get in trouble for selling my CDs in the hallway. And you can just imagine what it feels like to be back, opening up a recording studio."
Inside the studio students learn how to operate in various roles involved in music production.
"You've got this young generation of millennials and, you know, in traditional education they weren't really being addressed," said Bryant McGhee, Cass band director. "This studio kind of really bridges that gap and it just brings whole other elements to education."
Sean is also preparing young people for the business aspects of the industry with a program called Mogul Prep, conceptualized with his mother, Myra Anderson. The program gives high school students an opportunity to engage with active, influential members of the music industry. Last year 10 Detroit-area high schools participated.

For students like Fredrick Boutten, who will head to Berklee College of Music in the fall, the experience has been remarkable.
"For someone like Big Sean to come and invest in me ... it was unexpected but it's such a great asset," said Boutten.
"I've got to give back. That's my responsibility, you know. The city put me on, so I'm going to put the city on as much as I can."- Big Sean.

In Big Sean CyHi The Prynce G.O.O.D. Kanye West PushaT Say what? Teyana Taylor whatsBeef?

#WhatsBeef: CyHi The Prynce Diss Kanye, GOOD Music, and Def Jam in New Track

Apparently this afternoon +CyHi ThePrynce dropped a diss track, aimed at none other than Mr. +Kanye West himself.

If you recall CyHi was/is signed to G.O.O.D. Music but after this song I'm not sure where he stands with his label, he never been able to release a studio debut, and was left on mute quite some time.

What made this diss track even more interesting was when CyHi took direct shots at the G.O.O.D Music Capo - +Kanye West   implying he would he get the duct tape treatment, Pusha-T album being called 'crap', and running up in the Def Jams office - wait what?

Here's the lyrics and diss track below:

[Intro]
Aye yo CyHi what the fuck bro?
We've been waiting for your damn album for years man
What the fuck is Kanye doing
How about you get the fuck up and get something done
Drop that shit
If I were you I'd stop being a little bitch
Grab an AK, load that shit up, get out there and drag Kanye's ass out

[Sample]
Drag me down, not a lot of people left around
Who knows now, softly laying on the ground

[Verse 1]
Hey Ye, do you know what it feel like
To really be signed to you in real life?
Have you ever wrote a song
And you about to say something wrong but you still right
I hope when I'm done that we still tight
But why wasn't I on the cover of the Complex?
You must've seen what I did to Funk Flex
Ya I showed my nigga but I'm coming up to Sean next
Sit the fuck down Mr. West, I ain't done yet
While you're in your little Lambo on Sunset
I'm riding with a gun next to me
And it sounds like a little boy playing with a drum set
And it hold a hundred rounds
Cause when you come around niggas quick to gun you down
You'll be found on the other side of town somewhere, nigga
(Softly laying on the ground)
Get the fuck up

[Hook]
In my life I have seen people walk into the sea
Just to find memories plagued by constant misery
Their eyes cast down fixed upon the ground
Their eyes cast down fixed upon the ground
In my life

[Verse 2]
Welcome to Def Jam
OK, everybody on the fucking floor
You and you by the double doors
That was three shots and it holds 15
So that means I got a dozen more
Now that everybody's on one accord
I'ma tell you what I'm coming for
I want a new million dollar deal on my pub
In the pretty brick house like the Commodores
Oh now everybody's getting kidnapped
Take you back to your crib while your kids nap
And if your wife walk in, start screaming in my ear
Then the bitch is getting bitch slapped
I'ma make it look like a mishap
Cut the TV on so they won't hear this shit clap
And I've got two guns, they gon' think it's suicide
Cause you shot yourself with this strap
(What the fuck CyHi what are you doing this for?)
Cause nobody want to listen to the kid rap
OK, my nigga +PushaTVEVO  shit snap
Nah I'm lying man that shit's crap
OK Teyana got a fat ass
But she won't let nobody in the clique tap
And there ain't gon' be no new Yeezy album
Cause he in the the trunk with his mouth taped and his wrists wrapped
*mumbling* Shut the fuck up nigga! Shut the fuck up!

[Hook]
In my life I have seen people walk into the sea
Just to find memories plagued by constant misery
Their eyes cast down fixed upon the ground
Their eyes cast down fixed upon the ground
In my life

In Big Sean Celeb Drama Naya Rivera New Music Say what?

#NewMusic: Big Sean to Naya Rivera: I Don't F*** With You

I've been waiting all month for this diss-track, rightfully named "I Don't F*** With You". Looks like rapper Big Sean felt some type of way when ex-girlfriend Naya Rivera suddenly married right after their breakup

The song was produced by Kanye West -- as Big Sean took direct shots by calling his ex  a ho, a bird brain, and stating "I just dodged a bullet from a crazy bitch."

Here's the track:

ForeverMeah says...

now although Big Sean is now claiming this track was made before the initial break-up I must say timing is everything
