Ice Cube and Gene Simmons Still Going At It?

Legendary Rapper, Ice Cube and Demonic Rockstar, Gene Simmons have been going back and forth after Ice Cube’s speech during N.W.A.’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In his speech, Cube shot back at Simmons’ comments in a recent Rolling Stone article, where he said he couldn’t wait for hip-hop to be finished, and that he feels the genre should not be in a hall of fame for rock and roll.

“The question is, ‘Are we rock ‘n’ roll?’ And I say, you goddamn right we rock ‘n’ roll. Rock ‘n’ roll is not an instrument. It’s not even a style of music. It’s a spirit that’s been going on since the blues, jazz, bebop, soul, rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, heavy metal, punk rock, and yes, hip-hop.”
-Ice Cube

If you recall last month, Gene Simmons spoke freely on how he can't wait for the demise of Hip-Hop

But just when we all thought it was over Ice Cube went on to drive his point home by replying via his social media...and of course the bored Rockstar was quick to rebuttal.

Here's there replies below:

Gene Simmons Questions Hip-Hop in the Rock Hall of Fame

Make no mistake about it...Demonic Rockstar,  Gene Simmons is not a fan of hip-hop. The KISS singer (I use the word "singer" very loosely) chatted with Rolling Stone and expressed how he is looking forward to the death of rap.

“I am looking forward to the death of rap,” Simmons told Rolling Stone. “I’m looking forward to music coming back to lyrics and melody, instead of just talking. A song, as far as I’m concerned, is by definition lyric and melody … or just melody.”

When asked about his dislike of rap, Gene Simmons claimed he didn’t have the background to enjoy it.

“I don’t have the cultural background to appreciate being a gangster,” Simmons said. “Of course that’s not what it’s all about, but that’s where it comes from. That’s the heart and soul of it. It came from the streets.”

The Simmons goes on to estimate the demise of the culture within 10-years.

“Rap will die,” Simmons said.. “Next year, 10 years from now, at some point, and then something else will come along. And all that is good and healthy.”

This is not the first time that Gene Simmons has criticized hip-hop. He previously spoke out against the inductions of Run-DMC and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“A few people decide what’s in and what’s not,” he told Radio.com in 2014.

“And the masses just scratch their heads. You’ve got Grandmaster Flash in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Run-DMC in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? You’re killing me. That doesn’t mean those aren’t good artists. But they don’t play guitar. They sample and they talk. Not even sing.” (source)

40-years later hip-hop has influenced the WORLD... good luck on your 10-year prediction.

In BioMovie Biopic HipHop Irv Gotti Love&HipHopNY Method Man Movie MurdaInc Say what? Tristian Wilds Mack Wilds VH1

Irv Gotti Not Too Happy About VH1’S ‘The Breaks’...Did You Watch it?

Hip Hop fans worldwide gathered together last night (after Love & Hip Hop of course) to catch Vh1's original movie 'The Breaks'.  The film is set in New York City and shines a light on Hip Hop in 1990's although the music was from the late 80's just before the culture took over mainstream America. While many people were pleased to watch stars such as Mack Wilds, Wood Harris and Method Man it seems like one famed record executive and entrepreneur was not at all pleased.

Irv Gotti took to Instagram to express his issues with the movie.

Gotti writes
Watching this Breaks Shit on Vh1. 1st off I didn't like the commercials they was running playing the Bridge is Over and the part where KRS says Queens Keeps on Faking it!! So now when I'm watching this watered down bullshit which is pissing me off cause they are not portraying Hip Hop Culture accurately!! But they still making my Borough look soft. Let me tell y'all something. I'm from that Purple Part in the pic I posted. And listen. Ain't nothing weak or soft about QB. And not only that @Vh1. QB has produced more superstar Rappers in hip hop than any other borough or place in the world for that matter. Shit looks like someone who doesn't know shit about our culture made this shit. And usually I would have kept quiet. But after the commercial and me watching this bullshit shit on my Borough. I had to post something. And to all my Hip Hop Culture people out there. That wants to see REAL depiction of OUR CULTURE. Sit tight. I'm on my way!! And I'm not a hater. At all. None of that is in my DNA. I love to see niggas win. But your not gonna disrespect QB. #queensgetthemoney #murderinctvseries Making Hip Hop look fucking Lame man. #gotmepissed #visionaryideas #wecomingmotherfuckers
