Mona Scott & VH1's "Love & Hip Hop" Producers Hit with Copyright Infringement Lawsuit


Was Mona Scott Young the creative mind behind VH1's hit reality series franchise, "Love & Hip Hop"? It's starting to look like she wasn't and was slapped with a multi-million dollar lawsuit on Monday (March 10).

According to a 114 page court document filed in New York and obtained by Tattle Tailzz, 8th Wonder Entertainment, Nicki Lum-Davis and Tris Lum claims Scott and the producers associated with "Love & Hip Hop" stole their ideas and went ahead and published their work without them knowing. (source)

Nicki, Tris and W.E are being represented by attorney James Bryant, who revealed that his clients is suing Scott, MTV Networks, Olde, NPCP, Ackerman and Viacom for $50 million in damages (copyright infringement, breach of contract and breach of confidence).

This lawsuit is documented as the largest copyright infringement case in Reality TV history.
